Nexan was founded in 2011 out of a shared passion to help our local livestock industry to thrive.
Back then, the Nexan trio - John Petherick, Gary Harrison and Doug Halligan - saw a gap: there was little to no research and development in animal health specific to New Zealand. And no animal health products were being made to meet our local challenges.
They seized the opportunity to make a real difference.
Employing local expertise, the Vetmed range was developed for New Zealand, each product formulated for specific animal health challenges and rigorously tested on farm, in New Zealand.
Chemists John and Gary work on every Vetmed product, from concept to completion.
With formulating and manufacturing managed under one roof - at Nexan’s South Auckland base - they can quickly respond to seasonal challenges, too.
Nexan is the ‘totally local’ company completely focused on the needs of Kiwi farms; their Vetmed range provides scientifically developed drenching solutions for cattle, sheep, and deer.
